Beatles Benefit Marblehead I am very honored to be playing the 9th annual All You Need Is Love Beatles Benefit in Marblehead on Saturday June 14. The benefit will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Marblehead. The proceeds of the concert are used to support music education programs by local artists in local school. Tickets are available for presale on Brown Paper Tickets.

I am excited to be part of a stellar line up that includes Birdsong at Morning, Julie Dougherty, Barbara Kessler, Kirsten and Dave, Molly Pinto-Madigan, None Of The Above (NOTA), T-Max, The Whiskey Boys, Semi-Aquatic Rodent and the house band, Scrambled Eggs.

A special thanks goes to Kathy Sands-Boehmer from the Me & Thee Coffeehouse, who is one of the key drivers of this  show. Every year she brings together a great group of performers. She also works with the local schools to create the programs funded but the benefit. This concert is only the tip of the iceberg for Kathy. She does a lot to support independent music through her work with the Me & Thee, NERFA and BACHA, as well as her blogging on No Depression.  I know I speak on behalf of many, many artists when I say thank you to her for all she does for us.

The benefit is in its 9th year and has had several fantastic performances in the past. Here are a few for you to enjoy.

I have asked Kathy to send me some of her favorite performances from the past, and she send me these three videos. I was glad to see one of my former students, Emily Elbert, in one of them…
