This show is becoming a tradition! My husband Dino is hosting his 3rd Annual Harmony For Humanity – Daniel Pearl Music Day show at one of our favorite home town venues, the Lizard Lounge. You can read the story behind the show in this post from last year. This year, with the recent string of reporter kidnappings and killings in the Middle East, the show takes on even more meanings. So while we are celebrating the memory of Daniel Pearl, and the great work that the Daniel Pearl Foundation has done, we want to also dedicate the show to the journalists who are out there, reporting in dangerous conditions, and to James Foley and Steven Sotloff, who have lost their lives this year.

Tony Savarino and the Savtones are once again the house band. Out featured vocalist this year include Patrick Coman, Dark Don’t Catch Me Here with Noel Coakley, Catharine David, Munk Duane, Ryan Fitzsimmons, Jim Gambino, Jenee Halstead, Greg Klyma, Jimmy Ryan, and Felicia Taylor.

Last year Mia Dyson did a special set in between the two band sets. We liked the idea so much that this year we are doing it again, and we have invited the fabulous Shun NG. He is quite something, as you can see from the video here…

Tickets for the show are available at Brown Paper Tickets
